The Summary Data
The full report on this project is, of necessity, a highly technical document comprising some 600 tabulations. Some readers will doubtless wish to study these detailed results. Others, however, may feel the need only to gain an overview of the main findings. The primary purpose of the charts and tables contained in this volume is to provide such an overview.
It will be observed that we have not provided an interpretive summary. In other words we have not sought to explain the meaning of the findings, nor to venture any opinions vis-a-vis implications arising out of the findings. This is deliberate, and in line with the survey criteria of maintaining impartiality and objectivity. We believe our function is to present the facts in this report.
We shall be pleased to provide professional advice to those who need assistance in data interpretation.
