Conclusion

The results of the questionnaire survey, reflect the views of about

questionnaires returned, it can be seen that 75% of the students opined the best way to deal with the future of Hong Kong was for China, Britain and
Hong Kong to have tripartite negotiation. Half of the students favoured
the recovery of the sovereignty over Hong Kong by the Beijing Government,

suited Hong Kong after 1997 was for China to recover sovereignty over Hong
Kong and let E.K. people administer Hong Kong. This shows the students'
support to 'H.K. people administering Hong Kong', their reason for support being 'H.K. people have better understanding of Hong Kong (85.5%), and 'Chinese political pattern does not suit Hong Kong (80.65) 'and 'More
beneficial to HK people' (65.2%)

On the other hand, only about 40% of the respondents were 'prepared
to adapt to the future political pattern' when asked if the Beijing Goverment
took over the right of administration of Hong Kong aftor 1997. Others had
various different ideas.
