Over half of the respondents showed ponitive concern for the factors which deserve consideration in the drafting of the basic law, The area of prime concern was the question of livelihood.
The basic law or 'eiri-constitution' can be said to be China's pledge for Hongkong people concerning the territory's future systema and lifestyle. The findings of the poll indicate that residents of this district are very concerned about the basic law.
