(1) There were 1116 returns (return rate about 24%). This indicates
a good response.
(2) The majority of the respondents (63%) had no faith in the political
system remaining unchanged for 50 years after 1997.
(3) The majority of the respondents (59%) considered emigration.
(4) Most of those who considered emigration were aged below 40.
(5) The majority (62%) felt that the British government has the duty to
arrange emigration.
(6) The majority (55%) hoped that the British government will help local
residents to emigrate.
