A far wider coverage was given this month to the economic aspects of the Agreement and the implications for Hong Kong's business world. Probably the most recent significant publicity for Hong Kong as a manufacturing and business centre was the special supplement on Hong Kong published in Germany's most important economic/financial daily, Handelsblatt. Compiled and partially authored by Gerd Janssen, Chief Editor, Economics Section (another of the Lufthansa sponsored group to Hong Kong), the six page supplement is a thorough and positive report on, as its title suggests, "Hong Kong: Data Information Analyses" and would appear to be aimed principally at the potential investor. Co-authors were TL Tsim (Professor at the Chinese University), Jürgen Kracht (of the management consultant company, Fiducia Ltd Hong Kong) and Wolfgang Trübe (of the management of the Hong Kong branch of the Westdeutsche Landesbank).
