the parliamentary debate on the draft Sino-British agreement on Hong Kong's future. The House of Commons yesterday endorsed HMG's intention to sign the Agreement. The House of Lords debate

will take place on 10 December.

3. We shall let you know as soon as possible thereafter whether

points one and two need any amendment.
