You asked me to seek the Governor's views on advice we should give to Sir Paul Bryan over his idea that there should be a debate on the recent motion in LEGCO.
2.
The Governor strongly agrees that any debate would be better taking place after the Secretary of State's visit than before. From the Hong Kong point of view, debates in Parliament on Hong Kong are of course welcome but he sees no early pressure from Unofficials on this.
