The Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, accompanied by those listed at Appendix I will visit Hong Kong and Peking as follows:

31 July 1 August Hong Kong

A party of press (see Appendix Ia) will accompany the party and will travel on the Secretary of State's aircraft. Separate administrative instructions are being issued to them.
2. PROGRAMME
The programme for Hong Kong as at 20 July is shown at Appendix II. Peking's will be available on arrival.
3. TRAVEL
a) The party will travel in an RAF VC10 (Task No 1188 ).
The detailed itinerary, together with other relevant travel details, is shown at Appendix III.

Take off on 25 July will be from London Heathrow Southside at 1115 hours (local time).
Return arrangements:
The VC10 is expected to return to London Heathrow Southside at 0800 hours (local time) on Thursday 2 August.
The arrangements for this tour are being handled by Conference and Visits Section, Protocol Department, in conjunction with the Ministry of Defence. Scheduled air bookings are also being made by Conference and Visits Section.
Departure arrangements for those travelling from the United Kingdom on the RAF VC10 will be issued later.
