(a)
of Such declaration in the Hong
Kong Government Gazette, he shall
cease to be a Member of the Council."
Clause XVIII of the principal Instructions
by numbering the existing provision as
paragraph (1);
(b) by inserting, immediately before "Member"
where it first appears, the following -
"Official or Appointed"; and
(c)
by adding the following
-
"(2) Any Elected Member of the
Legislative Council may resign his
seat in the Council by writing under
his hand in the manner and with
the effect provided by the electoral
Ordinance mentioned in Clause XIII (1) (e)
[but no such resignation shall take
effect until the conclusion of any effe
proceedings relating to corrupt
or illegal practices in connexion
with that Member's elelction]
