of the said Council or at such earlier
time as may be specified in the
Instrument by which he is appointed.
(2) An Appointed Member who
vacates his seat under paragraph (1) of
this Clause shall be eligible to be
re-appointed.".
Addition of
new
Clause XVIA.
5. The principal Instructions are amended by
the addition, immediately after Clause XVI, of the
following
"Tenure of Office of
Elected
Members of
Legislative Council.
XVIA. Every Elected Member of
the Legislative Council shall hold his
place in the said Council and vacate his
seat in accordance with the electoral
Ordinance mentioned in Clause XVIII(1)(e).".

Clause XVII.
6. The principal Instructions are amended by
deleting Clause XVII and substituting the following
