7. The principal Instructions are amended by
adding, immediately after Clause XVIII, the
following
Amendment of Clause XXI of the principal Instructions.
"Question of right to sit.
XVIIIA. Any question of the right of a
person, having been appointed under
Article VI (1) (a) of Our said recited
Letters Patent to take or retain a seat
an appointed Unofficial Member of the
Legislative Council shall be decided by
the High Court of Hong Kong in a manner
similar to that provided in respect of
Elected Members' seats by a law in force
in the Colony".

8. Clause XXI (3) of the principal Instructions
is amended by substituting for the words and figures
"clause XIII of these Instructions" the words and
figures "Article VI (1) (b) of Our said recited
