(3) A session shall begin on such date
as the Governor may appoint by notice published
in the Hong Kong Government Gazette, save
that the period between the last sitting of
one session and the first sitting of the next
session shall not exceed three months.

XXIB. (1) The Governor shall dissolve the
elected membership of the Legislative Council
immediately after the end of the session of the
Council which ends in 1985 and, thereafter,
after the end of the session which ends in
each succeeding third year after 1985.
(2)
The Governor may dissolve the elected
membership of the Legislative Council at any
time.
(3) The elected membership of the
Legislative Council shall be dissolved by order
of the Governor published in the Hong Kong
Government Gazette, on such date as may be
specified in the order.
