Mr Robert Adley (Christchurch): To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what specific steps he proposes to take to further the introduction of democracy in Hong Kong.
As I said in the House on 16 May, during the years immediately
ahead the government of Hong Kong will be developed on
increasingly representative lines. The Hong Kong Government
hopes to publish next month a Green Paper outlining proposals
on this subject.
