(2) On production of such certificate to a court
such court shall stay any proceedings, whether civil
or criminal, except a charge under section 32 or
section 36 of the Crimes Ordinance, against such
witness for any act or thing done by him before that
time and revealed by his evidence and may, in its
discretion, award to such witness such expenses as he
may have been put to.
