An Ordinance to amend the Births and Deaths Registration Ordinance.
[27 July 1984]
Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Births and Deaths Registration (Amendment) Ordinance 1984.
2. Section 7 of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting "the Colony” and substituting the following-
Amendment of section 9.

“Hong Kong”.
Section 9 of the principal Ordinance is amended-
(a) in subsection (2), by deleting “S5" and substituting the following-
"S10"; and
(b) in subsection (3), by deleting "$30" and substituting the following-
Amendment of section 13.

Amendment of section 15.
Amendment of section 16.
"$60".
Section 13 of the principal Ordinance is amended
(a) in the proviso to subsection (1), by deleting "the Colony" and substituting
the following-
“Hong Kong”;
(b) in subsection (2), by deleting “$5" and substituting the following——
"$10"; and
(c) in subsection (3), by deleting “$20” and substituting the following—
**$40".
5. Section 15 of the principal Ordinance is amended-
(a) in subsection (2), by deleting "the Colony" and substituting the following—-
"Hong Kong"; and
(b) in subsection (3), by deleting "the Colony” and substituting the following—

“Hong Kong”.
Section 16(2) of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting "the Colony" and substituting the following-
Amendment of section 22.

“Hong Kong”.
Section 22 of the principal Ordinance is amended-
(a) in subsection (1), by deleting “S5" and substituting the following-

(i) by deleting "$10" and substituting the following—
"$20"; and

(d) in subsection (3), by deleting "$30” and substituting the following-

Section 23 of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting "$3" and Amendment of substituting the following--
"$5".

9. Section 27(c) of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting "$20" and Amendment of substituting the following--
**$40".
10. The Second Schedule to the principal Ordinance is amended-- (a) in Form 6, by deleting "$5" and substituting the following--
"$10";
(b) in Form 7, by deleting "$5" and substituting the following-
"$10";
(c) in Form 9, by deleting "the Colony" wherever it occurs and substituting in
each place the following--
"Hong Kong"; and
(d) in Form 13, by deleting "the Colony of".
