Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.
This Ordinance may be cited as the Buildings (Amendment) (No. 2) Ordinance 1984.
2. Section 3(5)(h) of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting sub- paragraph (vi) and substituting the following—
"(vi) I registered structural engineer nominated by the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers; and”.
Amendment of

section 5A.
Section 5A of the principal Ordinance is amended—
(a) in subsection (2) by—
(i) inserting after “whom" the following—
"not more than";
(ii) deleting paragraph (c) and substituting the following--
(c) 5 shall be members of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers
who are registered structural engineers;"; and
(b) in subsection (3) by deleting "Institute, Institution or Society." and
substituting the following-
"Institute or Institution.".

An Ordinance to amend the Business Registration Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Business Registration (Amendment) Short title and Ordinance 1984 and shall come into operation on a day to be appointed by the commencement. Governor by notice in the Gazette.
2.
Section 2 of the principal Ordinance is amended—
(a) by inserting in their appropriate alphabetical order the following defini-
tions-
""certification" means certification by the Commissioner under
section 19;
"duplicate" in relation to a branch registration certificate means a duplicate thereof issued under regulations made under section 14; "duplicate" in relation to a business registration certificate means a duplicate thereof issued under regulations made under section 14; "levy" means the amount prescribed in item 6 of the Schedule; "prescribed branch registration fee" means the fee prescribed in item 5
of the Schedule;
"prescribed business registration fee" means the fee prescribed in item 1
of the Schedule;
"prescribed certification fee” means the fee for certification prescribed
by regulations made under section 14;
"valid branch registration certificate" means a certificate which is issued by the Commissioner under section 6, or any duplicate branch registration certificate, and which has not expired;";
(b) by deleting the definition of “prescribed fee";
(c) in the definition of “valid business registration certificate" by deleting "certificate, and which bears a date of commencement which falls within the period of 12 months immediately preceding" and substituting the following

"business registration certificate, and which has not expired”. Section 3(5) of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting "the Colony" Amendment of wherever it occurs and, in each case, substituting the following-
