Thank you for your letter of 8 September about Vietnam
ese refugees in Hong Kong. It was very helpful to have
your views.
I understand that Mr James Adams has already replied t
a similar letter that you sent to him. I would like to
endorse what he has said.
As you know, I was able to visit some refugee camps
briefly during my recent visit to Hong Kong. I found it
very helpful to be able to see at first hand the problem
that Hong Kong is still facing. I was greatly impressed
by the enormous contribution that all of you involved
in this field are making to the resolution of this human
tragedy.
May I wish you the best of luck with your project in
Canada?
