Dear Mr. Murray,

- I have just seen your note dated 18 February, 1983, copied to Richard Margolis, concerning the Swedish Government's decision to take 200 Vietnamese refugees from our camps (plus 50 from Macau, I understand) for resettlement.
I am writing to express my thanks to you for securing for us this most welcome offer of help from the Swedes towards relieving us of our current burden of 12,000 Vietnamese awaiting resettlement. In these days of much diminished resettlement, an "offtake" of 200 is sometimes as much as we can expect in a single month from all "resettlement countries" combined.
The Consulate General has informed us of the delegation's arrival here on 14 March, and we shall do everything we can to assist them while they are here. shall also let you know the outcome of the visit.
Yours sincerely,
We
