Resettlement of refugees has not been

ould not consider opening a further quota.
ɔwever, we do what we can to help the Hong Kong Government
ustain the flow of resettlement through our contacts with
he United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, who is
esponsible for coordinating resettlement, and with officials
a the major resettlement states. We hope that this will
educe the burden of the influx of refugees on the Hong Kong
uthorities who have already done so much in managing this
ragic humanitarian problem over the last five years.
