Sir,
We would refer to our letter of the 9th September, 1982, by which we have informed the Commissioner of Banking of our intention to up-grade our Hong Kong representative office into a full operating branch.
Since we have now been granted the relevant authorization of Bank of Italy, we would like to file hereby our formal application to obtain your permit for the establishment of a full operating branch in Hong Kong.
In order to enable you to consider our application we are here- with enclosing the following documents:

copy of our letter dated 9th September, 1982 addressed to the Commissioner of Banking;
· Act of Incorporation of our bank;
Articles of Association of our bank;
General Internal Regulations of our bank;
- Copy of Bank of Italy's letter of authorization to set-up a full branch
in Hong Kong;

BCI balance sheets as at 31st December 1980 and 1981 Profit and loss accounts for the years ended 31st December 1980 and 1981. BCI annual report and accounts 1982.
