HONG KONG'S ECONOMIC VALUE TO CHINA

INTRODUCTION

This paper attempts to assess Hong Kong's

economic contribution to China and the relative

importance of such contribution in China's context. Being constrained by the availability of reliable macro-economic datą, some heroic assumptions have had to be employed in the course of this exercise.
