We have consulted the Hong Kong Government about
Mr Raison's suggestion that Mr Chau might call on the Political
Adviser on his return to Hong Kong. They consider that it
would not be appropriate to make any special arrangements for
Mr Chau. However, if he took the initiative to seek an
appointment with the Secretary of Home Affairs, Mr Denis Bray, Mr Bray or his deputy would be prepared to meet him.
