In her talks with the Premiers of Ontario and
Alberta, the Prime Minister will wish to emphasise
Britain's interest in doing business with those provinces

and the indicate that Britain has investment and
technology available for joint ventures between British
and Canadian companies. She will also wish to stress the
advantages of Britain as a base for Canadian companies
seeking access to the European Community. Premiers Davis
and Lougheed will be interested in the Prime Minister's
views on the prospects for the British economy and the
international economy more generally. Mr Davis is about
to go to the Far East and Mr Lougheed has just returned
from a trade promotion visit there: they will both be
interested in the future of Hong Kong. Mr Lougheed may
also wish to discuss World Energy Prospects and the role
of North Sea oil prices.
