MR WHITNEY'S VISITS TO NEW ZEALAND AND AUSTRALIA
1. The Minister has been provided with briefs on Hong Kong's future for use with the New Zealanders and the Australians.
2. In the light of the latest round of Anglo-Chinese talks on this subject held in Peking on 22/23 September, I attach an additional line to take.

If any other significant developments take place which could usefully be raised we will telegraph accordingly.
