I understand that you recently mentioned to Richard Hoare that some Hong Kong papers (notably the Wah Kiu Yat Po and the Sing Po) have started to report Chinese statements on Hong Kong's future merely factually and without editorial comment. I should be grateful if you could give me the names of any other Hong Kong papers which have been adopting the same approach.
3. I would also welcome any information you can provide about recent changes in Hong Kong newspapers' political orientations. In this context we have noticed, for example, that the Oriental Daily has of late been expressing more left-wing views than usual.
