1. I submit a self explanatory draft reply to Mr Coles' letter of 14 March about a story in the Hong Kong press (reported in Hong Kong telegram number 334) to the effect that China intends to resume sovereignty over Hong Kong this September. FED agree with the draft.
2. A copy of the New Evening Post article referred to in paragraph 4 is attached.
