My minute of 21 July proposed that the Minister of
State visit the UNGA between 24-28 October. FCO telno.
363 to UKMis New York sought the views of interested posts.
Recommendation
2. Replies to this telegram suggest that a three day visit
to New York and Washington would be very useful. Therefore,
I recommend that, subject to further developments, we
proceed with plans for such a visit beginning on 24 October
