1.

I just wanted to thank you (and Bob Peirce) for the various reports you have been sending us recently on changes at the NCNA, particularly on the successor to Wang Kuang. For a while one was quite dizzy with the rumours and counter rumours involving Wang, Xu and Ke Hua, but at last it all seems to be falling into place! While you may not get reaction from us often to your various contributions. I can assure you that they are fed into the machine, carefully scrutinized and much appreciated.

2.

Xu sounds like something of a new broom. We await with interest to see how he shakes up the NCNA, and how the roles of any of the others in the Agency develop or change, in particular Li Ju Sheng and the newcomers.
