USE OF THE HONG KONG FLAG

1. I have been doing some research to find out the rules governing the flying of the Hong Kong flag, the 'defaced' Blue Ensign and would be grateful for your help. I have consulted DSP Volume 7 Chapter 7 and Colonial Regulations Part II, Paragraph 123, which give clear guidance on when and where the Personal OAG flag and Union flag may be flown. According to DSP Vol 75 7.3.2 the

'defaced' Blue Ensign can be used for decoration or distinguishing purposes with the approval of the Secretary of State.

Could you perhaps make some enquiries, if you do not know already, to find out when and where the flag can be flown and how often, in practice, it is.
