(f) Mr Luce will have an opportunity to meet Dr Philip Kwok at the drinks with the Urban Council (27 September) and the meeting with "Young Professionals" (28 September);
(g) the whole party will stay at Government House.
(h) The Hong Kong Government have asked if Mrs Luce will be going to Hong Kong with the Minister. If so, they would like to know for which items she will accompany Mr Luce and whether there are any other visits that she would like to make on her own.
4. Miss Bailey's minute asked if the Department wished to suggest any particular people who Mr Luce might like to be invited to the Government House dinner. Mr Luce will already be meeting a wide range of people at the various other social functions during the visit. I recommend that we leave it to the Governor to draw up the guest list.

I should be grateful to know if there are any other subjects on which Mr Luce would like briefing, subject to your views we propose to submit the briefs by 9 September. (That on the future will of course have to be updated).

6. It is generally knowṇin Hong Kong that Mr Luce is planning to visit the territory. We should therefore announce this soon. However it would be difficult to do this until we are in a position to say something definited about the visit to Brunei. I am in touch with Mr Hartland Swann about this and will submit separately.
