(c) Tuen Mun Light Railway

Worth £50m, with UK content estimated at £35m. Work involves

provision of light railway vehicles and supporting equipment. However, decision to proceed with project awaits agreement with an

operator. Completion date of 1986 appears increasingly unlikely. Prospects for some UK involvement should be good.

(d) Lye Mun Bridge

Many UK companies are interested in this project to construct bridge to carry road/rail link between Hong Kong island and Kowloon. Worth

£60 to £70 million. Design study has been completed by Mott Hay and

Anderson with Wilbur Smith Associates. Project has, however, been

deferred because of problems over airport approach path.
