Thank you for sending me a copy of your minute of 9 March. The Gibraltar House of Assembly passed an Ordinance known as the Immigration Control (Amendment) Ordinance 1983 on 24 February. The Ordinance has now received the Governor's assent and has been published in the Gibraltar Gazette. It has yet to receive a formal Certificate of Non Disallowance from the Secretary of State. I see no reason why a copy cannot be placed in the Library of the House if that is a normal procedure for dependent territory Ordinances. Copies will however need to be obtained from Gibraltar.

Neither I nor the Deputy Governor's office in Gibraltar is aware of any British Dependent Territory citizen in Gibraltar who does not have right of entry to Gibraltar.
