who are CUKCs by birth, naturalisation or registration in an existing dependent territory, for example, Hong Kong;
who are the children or grandchildren of CUKCS who acquired CUKC by birth, naturalisation or registration in an existing dependent territory. This means that the CUKC child or grandchild, born prior to 1 January 1983, of a CUKC born,- naturalised or registered in Hong Kong will be a BDTC;
who have been married to a man who becomes or would, but for his death, have become a BDTC. This provision will have no practical effect in Hong Kong as female CUKCS who have been married to CUKCs who, are such by connection with Hong Kong already have the right to land and remain in Hong Kong;
who were registered as CUKCS outside the dependent territories, who were minors at the time of registration and whose parent becomes a BDTC. For example a child,. born and registered outside the dependent territories, to a Hong Kong born female CUKC and a male non-CUKC will become a BDTC;
who were registered as CUKCs outside the dependent territories on grounds of connection with an existing dependent territory. For example, a CUKC by connection with Hong Kong who, having renounced his CUKC, subsequently regained it by registration outside the dependent territories will become a BDTC by -connec- tion with Hong Kong. This provision will have little if any practical effect, there having been no Hong Kong case of this nature for at least ten years.
