Her Majesty's Principal Secretary of State for Foreign and
Commonwealth Affairs presents his compliments to His Excellency
the Ambassador of Liberia and has the honour to refer to the
Ambassador's Note of 23 September requesting the extradition
from Hong Kong to Liberia of Lam Wai-Ting.
The Ambassador will wish to know that the Governor of Hong Kong
issued an Order to a Magistrate on 15 November to proceed with
the hearing of the case for the extradition of Lam Wai-Ting.
The date of the hearing has been fixed for 30 December.
Meanwhile the subject is being held in custody.
The Secretary of State avails himself of this opportunity to
express to the Ambassador the assurance of his highest
consideration.
