Your humble petitioner accepts and avers that by accompanying another a visit to the deceased to recover some money due and by standing by person on when an argument and fight broke out which led to the death of the deceased, he must be held partly responsible for the death of the deceased, which he bitterly

regrets.

Your humble petitioner, however, does aver that the offence was not premeditated and that the death of the victim resulted from a violent argument involving other persons. The chain of event developed in such a way as to be beyond the control of your humble petitioner.

Your humble petitioner promises that never again will he allow himself to become involved in such an occurrence, and that he will never forget the anguish he has thus brought upon the victim's family and the shame upon himself and his family. He will henceforth use his vest endeavours to lead an honest and industrious life.

10.

Your humble petitioner appeals to His Excellency The Governor to exercise the Royal Prerogative of Kercy for the act of your humble petitioner by commuting his present sentence of Death by substituting therefor one of imprisonment.
