Mr. Cheng (A tenant living in the same address)
Mr. Cheng started to live in the same house just about the same time when Prisoner moved in. Prisoner was described, a friendly person who was capable of positively relating himself with other tenants living in the same house. He was willing to help others and was generally a welcome member in the house.

Prisoner for quite several years. They were colleagues in a weaving factory; and were about to start running a garage at the time of Prisoner's involvement in present offence. Mr. Luk revealed that Prisoner had the typical state of mind as that of a young Chinese immigrant. Prisoner was not contented with the simple life as a factory worker and had always dreamed of making a fortune; and to lead a life of enjoyment. He therefore chose to stick himself with underworld people. He had also been operating a loans company and was the proprietor of an apartment house. It was however confirmed by Mr. Luk that Prisoner had really wanted to run a garage for a change. Speaking of Prisoner's character, Mr. Luk also regarded him as the straight-forward and direct kind of person; who could have been tough if not with the right people.
Interview with Prisoner
Prisoner was rather outspoken during the interview but he was reluctant to reveal details about the background of this case; nor any of his previous relationship with underworld associates and activities. He seemed to have little worry about himself at present stage.

Though having arrived here over 10 years ago,
Prisoner seems to have the similar state of mind as that of most other young Chinese immigrants; particularly in the pursuit of fortune and a life of enjoyment. Prisoner has been in the past leading quite an unbridled way of life and he is making company with undesirable elements, triad gang members and underworld people as well. Also he probably has not been very attached to family and as a result, his first co-habit wife, bringing along with her their little children, separatedPrisoner several years ago.
Prisoner has received an imprisonment sentence the years before, which punishment however, has failed to make him rid. off his affiliation with undesirable elements; and very much as a result of his affiliation with the wrong people, he becomes involved in the present offence.
