Your humble petitioner now bitterly regrets the death of the victim, and his regret is deepened by the realization that the argument was over a trivial matter and that the victim was his cousin. He has never before nor since the incident allowed himself to be provoked to the extent that he was in relation to this victim. He will never forget the distress anguish and shame that he has brought upon himself and the common family of himself and the victim. He asks to be spared the ultimate punishment under threat of which he stands at present, in the hope that in the fullness of time he will again have a chance to prove idmoul" to be a worthwhile and industrious citizen.
