On the 16th December 1980, your humble petitioner was convicted in
the High Court of Hong Kong, upon a verdict of a Jury of seven persons, of the
offence of murdering YEUNG Pui-chung, and was for that offence sentenced to
suffer death in the manner prescribed by law.

On the 29th June 1981 the appeal of your humble petitioner was
dismissed by the Court of Appeal and he is now a condemned prisoner awaiting
execution for the offence of murder.

Your humble petitioner is seeking the mercy of Your Excellency
The Governor to save him from this punishment.

Your humble petitioner is now aged 27 years, having been born on the
31st July 1954 in Hong Kong. His parents and 12 siblings all resile in Hong Kong. Your humble petitioner has a 6 year old daughter,
cared for by the eldest sister of your humble petitioner."

This child is
Prior to his arrest, your humble petitioner had been residing with
the murder victim at Chai Wan.

The education standard of your humble petitioner reached that of
Form Four level. He has taken up various jobs and employments since he was
17 years.
These included: weaving worker, delivery boy, soft drink worker,
table ware worker and shipbuilding worker.
