(the prisoner's wife)
Madam Chan began living with the prisoner in 1970, bringing along the two children of her former cohabitee.
Ever since, the prisoner had been doing a good job to shoulder up the responsibility as breadwinner for the family. He was also regarded a loving father to the children; to the elder ones alike even though they were not his own flesh and blood Madam Chan was aware of the prisoner's profession being a police informer but could do nothing to alter the situation since the job' carned handsome money for the family. However, it was revealed that sometime in 1977 the prisoner had once decided to quit; but failure to obtain a suitable employment pushed him back into the old trade again. Anyhow,
expressed that the prisoner had always been very much family- centered; having full dedication and concern towards every momb.. of the family even though he might not be spending a lot of time with them. The prisoner was required to hang around enjoyment spots and places where underworld characters would gather; and he usually stayed out late. Madam Chan' however showed understanding towards the prisoner and she trusted him since all these years, he was a faithful and responsible husband. Madam Chan seldom interfered what the prisoner would do even though she worried over him. Speaking of the prisoner's character,
related that he had always been optimistic towards life in general; good-natured and basically a quiet kind of guy who would not bother about other's business. Usually, he could easily make friends with others as he often showed warmth to others carning their trust and faith. this being a speciality in the prisoner's character; perhaps conditioned this way by his several years' of experience as an informer. He could really handle human relationship but basically, his wife considered him not a wicked-minded person, Moreover, it was revealed that the prisoner was not indulged in bad habits.

(the prisoner's mother-in-law)
Madam Tsui treated the prisoner very much her own son since the prisoner respected her and he made warm relationship with all other members in the family. She was not aware of the prisoner's activities outside but was greatly impressed by his loyalty to family; and his warm personality towards others. In general, Madam Tsui would regard the prisoner a man of non- violence and was greatly surprised at his involvement in the present predicament.
