In former years, the Prisoner's friends were mostly from his neighbourhood. He had grouped with some to form pop groups to play at parties and nightclubs. But as he had become a triad member at a young age, he was also acquainted with friends of triad element in Li Cheng Uk Üstate. After his incarceration in Stanley Prison, he had been closely related to the Co-accused of the present case CHUri sik-tsang who was also a triad member and had served a prison sentence simultaneously with the Prisoner.

In fact, the Prisoner was as irresponsible as to play hide-and-seek with officers from the Training Centre and the police when he was being located for after he absconded from the Training Centre. The Frisoner was described to be bad- tempered and emotional.
