Your humble Petitioner, however, does aver that the offence was not pre-

meditated.

The death of the deceased was the result of a Robbery in which a firearm

himself had fired

was discharged, fatally wounding the deceased after the deceased

a weapon in his possession. Your humble Petitioner bitterly regrets that such violence

was used and that he was so foolish as to be drawn into it by another and that he assisted

in the supply of weapons for use in the Robbery and that afterwards he received a

share of the Robbery proceeds.

Therefore

Your humble Petitioner deeply regrets and repents the consequences of his

action. He fully appreciates the disgrace that he has brought upon himself, as

well as the grief, remorse and loss that he caused the family of the deceased. He realises fully his error in doing what he did, which was completely out of character.

Your humble Petitioner vows that he will never again act in such a manner.

your humble Petitioner is appealing to His Excellency the Governor, to exercise the

Royal Prerogative of Mercy for the act of your Petitioner by commuting his present

sentence of Death by substituting therefore one of imprisonment, so that your humble

Petitioner can repent and atone for his grievous wrong doing for the rest of his

natural life.

to living an honest, industrious and useful life for the benefit of the community.
