1. I am sorry it has taken so long to reply to your letter of 26 August 1981 but I was awaiting Hong Kong's comments.

We now have their views in the attached copy of the Crown Solicitor's letter of 8 December 1981. As you will see, Jones has reviewed his previous opinion and now advises that we should claim immunity for most of the documents. Tony Rushford sees no reason to dissent from his conclusions on specific privilege for the documents referred to on the second and third pages. Jones has suggested that document (10) is probably not privileged and we
agree.

I should be grateful for your comments and to know if you have heard of any further developments in the case.
