It is with much concern that we have learned of the Hong Kong Immigration Department's refusal to extend Christine Vertucci's employe- ment visa in Hong Kong. We know that her work is extremely important for the poor of Southeast Asia.
On behalf of the Catholic Action of the Archdiocese of Montreal, Canada, we support Christine's appeal to have her employement visa extended, and we urge you to allow her to continue her work in Hong Kong.
We do hope that you will take into consideration the need for Human Rights work to be done, if we are to build a world of justice and peace.
