We have been asked to make representations on behalf of an American citizen
Ms Christine Vitucchi who, we understand, has for the past four years worked
in Hongkorg for the Asian Monitor Resource Centre.
May we enquire the reasons for an expulsion order which we understand has been issued for Ms Vitucchi to leave the Colony on 5 February ?
In the apparent closure of your office for the Chinese New Year we have
addressed the following telegram to His Excellency the Governor:
"Request suspension of order to leave Hongkong issued to
U.S. national CHRISTINE VITUCCHI of Asian Monitor Resource Centre pending enquiry into reasons for expulsion after 4 years residence "
