Dear Sir Philip,
I recently heard that the Hong Kong Immigra- tion Department has refused to grant an American lawyer, Ma. Christine Vortucci an extension of stay in Hong Kong. Christine has been working in Hong Kong for over four years. As she has com- witted no offence against the laws of Hong Kong, I find the Immigration Department's action diffi --- cult to understand,
I would be most grateful if you could look into this matter as soon as is feasible. Chris- tine has been granted two weeks, as of Jan. 22, 1982, in order to prepare for her departure from Hong Kong.
