Secondary Education

Applications for the entry of alien students for secondary education can be considered subject to compliance with the following conditions :-
(a) The student is under 20 years
of age.
(b)
A nominated relative or guardian undertakes to maintain the student during his/her stay and, if required, to pay the cost of
a return passage to country of origin.
(c) The student will normally be expected
to live with the relative or guardian, unless a place has been found for him/ her in a recognized boarding school.
Post Secondary Education

Applications for the entry of alien students for post-secondary education can be considered provided the student intends to pursue either :-
(a)
(b)
(c)
(a)
A one or two year matriculation course; or
A course at either the University
of Hong Kong or The Chinese
University of Hong Kong; or
A course at colleges registered under the Post Secondary Colleges Ordinance (Cap. 320); or
A course at certain secondary schools registered under the
Education Ordinance (Cap. 279) which offer certain post school-certificate courses other than matriculation courses (Before approval is granted the Director of Education is to be consulted about the standing of the course and of the school and his consent obtained); or
