permission to enter Hong Kong will not normally be granted to unmarried children over the age of 21, unless there are strong compassionate or humanitarian reasons or other special extenuating circumstances as e.g.
(A) they would otherwise be
the only member of the family not in Hong Kong; or
(B)
(C)
they are entirely dependent upon their parent or parents in Hong Kong; or
they are physically incapa- citated in any way.
(a) Parents
(i)
an application for both parents together to join a son or daughter in Hong Kong will normally be approved provided that one of the parents is over the age of 50 and the son or daughter is a bona fide. resident able to support and provide accommodation for both parents;
(ii) an application from one only of
the parents to join a son or
(iii)
daughter in Hong Kong will normally be approved provided that the parent applying to come to Hong Kong is over the age of 50 and the son or daughter is a bona fide resident able to support and provide accommodation for that parent;
a similar application in respect of both parents under 50 years of age will not normally be approved in the absence of strong compassionate or humanitarian reasons.
