It is perhaps a pity that some statement had not been fed to the BBC in the wake of the Kai Tak North riots. Still, doubtless, you can work out some time scale for appropriate statements, say, at various stages of the Government's review of policy to do with Vietnamese refugees.
In our discussion, we have naturally reiterated to Lawrie that if ever his broadcasters on the Vietnamese overseas service need background or other information about Vietnamese refugees in Hong Kong, we would be pleased to oblige.
