As agreed, I told FED and Information Department last week that we supported this idea, although subject to the views of the Governor on the visit to Hong Kong proposal.

Hong Kong have not commented yet on Atkinson's letter of 19 February to McLaren but FCO telno.130 of 26 March should now elicit a reaction.
