if this is the Prime Minister's wish. However they might

be prepared to agree to his making a special journey back to London at public expense for the meeting if it is now

quite impossible for him to advance his leave.

I recommend that the possibility of recalling Sir P Cradock be put to No 10, and that if they agree he be invited to consider advancing his leave. I 'submit

a draft Private Secretary letter and draft telegram.
